Maybe you could tell us some things about him that we can't read in the Bible.

Is there anything that you think the bible has incorrectly recorded about him?

"A prophet I shall raise up for them from the midst of their brothers, like you; and I shall indeed put my words in HIS mouth, and he will certainly SPEAK to them all that I shall command him. And it MUST occur that the man who will NOT listen to my words that he will speak in my name, I shall myself require an account from him."

on satellite tv there is a regular program called book of mormon discussions, the panel of mormon teachers expound and ellaborate upon the deep meaning in the book, seeing great import and prophecy in every word.

the book is a joke as we all probably know.

it is low grade fiction filled with plagerism and anachronism.

The bible does not (in my opinion) speak to this question Are we born inclined more towards "bad" or inclined more towards "good?" It speaks this question "Is Mankind Born Evil....or Good?" My answer to the first is that it does not matter what your inclination or "tendency" is, it won't make you good. D Dog

Farkel Here is the problem! Which question are you trying to answer? Is Mankind Born Evil....or Good? Or Are we born inclined more towards "bad" or inclined more towards "good?" These are two different questions. If you are asking about our inclination or "tendency", that can indeed be influenced by many factors. For example, we can take an evil person and put him in jail, or restrain him completely, so that he can't move, speak or do anything bad. This will not make him "good". Evil people can be coerced or threatened into doing good deeds, this will not make them "good". So the number of deeds (be they good or bad) has no relevance in answering the first question "Is Mankind Born Evil....or Good?". The same for inclination or "tendency". Sorry! Man does evil, because he is evil! He is not evil, because he does evil. This is the historic Christian view taught in the bible. The J dubs teach that if you stop someone from doing bad, that will make them good. That is why they feel free to coerce or threaten people. I hope this helps. D Dog

, There are many Old Testament examples of cases where the first-born was not born first. One is Manasseh who was the first one born. Then Jacob (Israel) blesses Ephraim instead of Manasseh and gives him the position of first-born (Gen. 48:13-22). God also declares Ephraim to be His first-born in Jeremiah 31:9, even though
Manasseh was born first.

Another example is with Jacob and Esau. Although Esau was the first one born, Jacob (whose name was change to Israel) received his brother's birthright and his father's blessing and became the first-born.

The nation of Israel was named after him, and the Lord calls Israel His first-born (Ex. 4:22). Here again, first-born seems to refer to rank and privilege, not first in time. The nation of Israel was not the first-born
of a woman and not even the first nation to exist. But God called it the first-born among all the nations.

Could Jesus be the first-born of all creation in the same way?

Other examples:The "first-born of the poor" (Isa. 14:30) means "the poorest of the poor." The "first-born of death" (Job 18:13) means Job's disease was the worst of diseases. The "first-born" of the kings seems mean the highest of the
kings of the earth (Ps. 89:27). David (v.20) was the last one born in his family, but was called the firstborn.

If anyone dares to challenge me, then name any noun that you think does not have an exact opposite and I will name it's exact opposite. I guarantee this.

I agree! So what is the opposite of perfect? I will define perfect as Good. You can define the opposite of perfect any way you like. So now I ask you has there ever been any perfect babies born? Yes or no. How you answer that question should help you answer yours. D Dog
